OSTKREUZ, today’s most famous photographers’ agency in Germany, was founded with the Magnum agency as a role model in East Germany shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990.
Today 20 photographers from East and West organize it. Each one has their own working practices and approaches, but one thing unites them: a humanistic worldview. All of the photographers go to the limit, whether political, physical, or imaginary.
